Maxim Directors

Recently crowned winners of the Service Award at the North East Business Awards, Maxim Facilities Management is gearing up for continued growth across the North East and the wider UK.

The company has grown organically and via acquisition over the last few years, taking turnover from £2.8m in 2013 to revenues of £6m in 2016. Whilst the firm is securing an increasing number of contracts across the UK the focus is still very much on the north east market, with plans to capitalise on its position in its heartland as the region’s largest independent facilities management contractor.

Founded in 2010, the firm provides facilities management services such as commercial cleaning, washroom services, grounds maintenance and other soft services to a range of high profile public and private sector clients across the UK, including a growing number of blue-chip customers.

Graham Conway, Managing Director said that the firm is not forgetting its North East roots and is targeting large regional contracts as a key part of its growth strategy, “we have made significant investments in our local management structure and we now have the scale and infrastructure to cope with some of the region’s largest contracts. In the last 12 months we have secured some very prestigious contracts with some of the most exciting operations in the area, and our plan is to continue that dialogue with other potential key accounts across the North East.”

Recent investments in the company’s quality assurance system has brought in the latest technologies, enabling real-time reporting of performance at client sites. The system allows the management team to proactively address any issues and has seen the businesses customer satisfaction rates rise to 97%, which was clearly a contributing factor to the recent success at the North East Business Awards.

Graham Conway added “We were delighted to win the Services Award, particularly given that we were up against some long established family owned businesses with such an excellent reputation for customer service. The award adds further credibility to our proposition and reinforces our position as a real alternative to the national firms for the North East’s largest facilities management spenders”.

The company is also enjoying a growing reputation within the education sector, providing cleaning services for schools, academies and colleges both across the region and nationally. Having developed a unique service offering to the sector the firm has a substantial pipeline of education contracts, as well as enjoying healthy ongoing relationships with existing independent and state schools.

Sales Director Paul Pearson commented on the firms success in this market “it is well documented that good facilities management supports the learning process and we are very fortunate to have some exceptional in house expertise that understand this sector very well. It is great to see that both new and existing clients are recognising our capability within this environment and that we continue to generate a great deal of our new business from customer referrals”.
