The North East Business Awards for the Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside region were held last week at the Stadium of Light and hopes were high for everyone at Maxim. This year Maxim were nominated for no less than three awards; the Services Award, the Let’s Grow Award, and the Digital & Social Media Award.
As with last years event, the night was a lot of fun. Ingrid Hagemann welcomed Jimmy Montgomery to open the evening by sharing some excellent stories from his playing days. Kevin Ball then took the stage for an inspiring talk, both speakers were fantastic.
Maxim were up against The Energy Checking Company and Omega Plastics Group for the Let’s Grow Award, which was sponsored by Sunderland College. For the Digital and Social Media Award sponsored by Gentoo, Maxim was shortlisted alongside Green Trousers and Redu.
Against tough competition Maxim picked up both the Let’s Grow Award and the Digital and Social Media award. The formers’ purpose is recognise a company that has demonstrated rapid growth over the last 12 months while maintaining an ethical approach to business. While the Digital Award is to recognise a company that has used web technology, including ICT, e-commerce and e-business, to enhance their business.
Reflecting on the two wins Graham Conway, Managing Director had this to say:
Maxim FM have had a tremendous year of sustained growth and have also invested heavily in IT establishing a new inhouse facility. Our culture of continuous improvement and the dedication of all our staff has been recognised by the presentation of these two prestigious awards.
Maxim now go through to the grand final at Hardwicke Hall on the 27th April, which will certainly be another fantastic evening. We’d like to wish all other candidates the best of luck in the final!
